Tiger Woods has reportedly vowed his storied golfing career 'can't end like this' days after suffering serious leg injuries in a car accident in Los Angeles.
The 15-time major winner underwent surgery at the Harbor-UCLA Medical Center to stabilise compound fractures of his tibia and fibula, after the grisly accident on Tuesday.

The 45-year-old has since been transferred to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, with PEOPLE Magazine reporting a source close to Woods said the sporting great was already pondering a return to the links.
"It can’t end like this,” Woods reportedly said to close confidants who visited him in hospital.
The unnamed source cited by PEOPLE elaborated further on Woods' comment, making it clear he was determined to make a comeback from his horrific injuries.
“He doesn’t want his career to end like this,” they reportedly told PEOPLE.
“So if there’s any way at all that he can continue playing golf, he will.”
The interim CEO of the hospital that treated Woods' injuries said it had been an 'honour' to care for the champion golfer.
"Woods was transferred to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for continuing orthopaedic care and recovery," Harbor-UCLA Medical Center interim CEO Anish Mahajan said on the hospital's Twitter account on Tgursday.
"It was an honour to provide orthopaedic trauma care to one of our generation's greatest athletes."
Rival hoses down talk of Tiger Woods comeback
Though fans are holding out hope Woods can make another comeback, long-time rival Rory McIlroy reminded fans the 45-year-old isn't superhuman, just human.
McIlroy believes that thoughts of Tiger Woods making a golf comeback following his terrible car accident should not be "even on the map at this point".
Woods underwent surgery on significant injuries to his right leg after the single-vehicle accident in Los Angeles on Tuesday morning.
A statement on his website said the 15-time major winner was "responsive and recovering in his hospital room" following the operation where open fractures to his tibia and fibula and further injuries to his foot and ankle were stabilised with the insertion of a rod, screws and pins.

The severity of the injuries has inevitability raised questions about whether Woods will be able to return to competitive action, but McIlroy's concerns, as he was preparing for the World Golf Championship event in Bradenton, Florida, lay elsewhere.
Asked if Woods, who was already sidelined following a fifth back operation, could recover, McIlroy said: "He's not Superman, he's a human being at the end of the day and he's already been through so much so at this stage everyone should just be grateful that he's here, he's alive, that his kids haven't lost their dad.
"That's the most important thing. Golf is so far from the equation right now. It's not even on the map at this point."
