Feeding a family can get expensive, but some savvy shoppers in Facebook group Markdown Addicts Australia have found a way to do it on the cheap.
They’ve discovered little-known UberEats codes that have meant they can feed their families for next-to-nothing – or in some cases, nothing at all.
“Thanks to the person who posted the Uber Eats pick up $15 and $10 codes,” the markdown addict posted, accompanied by a picture of a huge Indian feast. “We paid 50 cents for all this.”
“Tonight’s dinner paid $0 [sic],” another said.
The codes, which are only available when you pick up your orders, are as follows:
PICKUP15: $15 off
PICKUP10: $10 off
PICKUP5: $5 off
PICKUP30: 30% off
PICKUP9: 10% off
If you’re unsure which restaurants offer a pickup option, you can select pickup at the top of the Uber Eats home screen on your app.
To add the promotions in the app, you have to head to your personal screen, select promotions and then ‘Add Promo’. Just type in the promo and click add - then it will appear in your available promotions.
Each code can only be used once per order, and the codes expire 1 January 2020.
