Yahoo Finance The Reject Shop customer reveals huge savings on household items: ‘So much cheaper’
Morning Fresh dishwashing liquid can be bought for half the price at The Reject Shop compared to Woolworths.
A Reject Shop customer has revealed the massive savings shoppers can make if they ditch the major supermarkets.
The Aussie woman, who goes by Tayla Rose online, shared a TikTok video comparing the prices of various cleaning products, kitchen items and snacks at Woolworths and The Reject Shop.
“Let me show you the importance of knowing your prices when grocery shopping,” she wrote in the video.

She went on to show that Finish Classic Dishwashing Tablets 110-pack were available for $19 at The Reject Shop, compared to $26 at Woolworths.
Morning Fresh Dishwashing Liquid 900mL could be bought for half price, $4.75 at The Reject Shop, compared to $9.50 at Woolworths.
Palmolive Hand Wash 250mL was also cheaper at $2.50 at The Reject Shop, compared to $3 at Woolworths.

And it’s not just cleaning products shoppers can grab a discount on. The shopper showed McVitie’s Digestives biscuits would set you back $1.50 at The Reject Shop, compared to $2 at Woolworths.
Other products had comparable or cheaper on-sale prices at Woolworths, including Hercules sandwich bags, Green’s cake mix, and mini Oreo snack packs.
Some Aussies shared they always went to The Reject Shop to buy regular household items, with one commenting: “We get a lot of our cleaning products from The Reject Shop - so much cheaper - along with a few other things.”
Other users pointed out that The Reject Shop sold “parallel import” products, which were genuine, branded items but may differ in design, materials and formulation from similar products offered locally. They said this could be the reason for the cheap prices.
A spokesperson for The Reject Shop told Yahoo Finance the chain was “proud to have the lowest everyday prices across Australia in household cleaning products, health and well-being and snacks”.
“The items in the TikTok video from The Reject Shop were all sourced from Australian suppliers,” the spokesperson said.
“The Reject Shop sources its branded products locally and internationally. This includes products sourced directly from suppliers and branded manufacturers as well as some parallel imports, including from branded manufacturers in the US, Europe and UK.”
