The other secret inbox Facebook messenger hides from you

Anyone who uses the Facebook messenger app can see their usual inbox full of private messages from their Facebook ‘friends’, but did you know there is another secret inbox where other messages might be hidden?

Facebook has a feature which sends you a ‘message request’ when someone you are not already connected with tries to send you a message and these messages are actually filtered into a separate, hidden inbox.

The inbox, accessible on the web or Facebook Messenger apps for smartphones and tablets, is part of Facebook’s filtering system, designed to catch spam and other unwanted messages.
