The Nike Air Max 90 'Bacon' reimagines the tasty breakfast staple at different stages of preparation

For some, breakfast is incomplete without a piece of crumbly, snappy bacon. Returning for the first time since 2004, Nike is set to re-release their iconic Air Max 90 'Bacon' on Friday, which coincidentally happens to be International Air Max Day.

The first iteration was made in collaboration with the now-closed NYC sneaker shop Dave’s Quality Meat. Due to its overwhelming popularity, The Swoosh opted to do a limited edition release to appease the millions of sneakerheads worldwide. The trainer's colorblocking scheme of brown, light pink and deep red detailing across its leather and suede construction was intended to show the slices of pork belly at various periods of roasting. Regardless of whether you prefer a light crisp or a crunchy finish, the option is depicted on the sneaker.

Available Friday via the SNKRS app and the brand's online shop, the Nike Air Max 90 'Bacon' retails for $140 a pair. Scroll on for more images of the shoe.
