And there’s a lot of advice out there around the latest budgeting and saving techniques, or the items you can sell to bring in a little extra cash.
But if you’re finding those ideas a little hard to follow, there’s one easy money-saving hack that actually works.
The money hack
She’s On The Money is a podcast led by Aussie financial advisor Victoria Devine.
The podcast’s website shares free financial resources like budgets and goal setting activities, and there’s one that’s guaranteed to see you pocket $10,000 in a year.
This calendar is as simple as it looks.
There are 52 boxes representing 52 weeks in the year, and each box has an amount of money in it. All in all, it adds up to $10,000.
All you need to do is pick a box each week and transfer that amount into your savings account, She’s On The Money said.
Once you’ve transferred that amount, just cross it off. And, you can print it out and pop it on your fridge so you remember to tick the boxes off weekly.
“Having clear goals often makes it easier to achieve financial targets,” they said.
So, you can write down what you’re saving for to make sure you’re on track.
