The Champions League final between Liverpool and Tottenham saw Liverpool take the crown, and a Russian Instagram model take the field - in nothing but a barely-there bodysuit.

Kinsey Wolanski wasn’t the first, nor will she be the last, to streak on a sporting field, or “pitch invade” as the professionals call it, but she may have got off lightly compared to those who did the deed in games before her.

So far, we only know that Wolanski was escorted out of the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium and left in a holding facility until the game ended, but some pitch invasion penalties can reach up to a whopping $250,000.

Four of the most expensive streaking fines in Australia

Aussies who get naked on a sporting field (and there have been many) have experienced fairly varied penalties.

Back in 2013, serial streaker, Wati Holmwood, was sentenced to three months’ jail following his 90-metre nudie dash at a State of Origin match, and copped a $2,000 fine.

In 2017, two carpenters from New South Wales’ Central Coast, Chad Sharp and Josh Hudson, jumped the fence at the Big Bash match after crowdfunding for the fines they expected to cop. Once they were promised $800, they did a nudie run across the ground. But, that barely covered the cost of their total $5,000 fine for doing it.

That same year, another man was also fined $5,000 for invading an All Blacks test match at Eden Park.

Last year, ex-footballer Ben Jenkins ran naked on to the pitch at Optus Stadium, and scored a date with a magistrate after he was charged with trespassing, which could’ve earned him a 12-month jail term and a whopping $12,000 fine.

What’s the fine for nudie runs overseas?

If you want to get naked in America, I suggest you do it at home, and not on the pitch of major sporting event.

In 2015, the Southeastern Conference By-Laws set the fine for pitch invading at American college sporting events for a whopping $50,000 for a first offence, $100,000 for a second offence and $250,000 for a third offence.

For baseball matches, assuming you remain clothed and don’t harm anyone, pitch invading will cost you $1,000 and one night in jail.

But, if you choose to run in your birthday suit, it could mean you’ll spend six months in jail on top of the fine.

Other streakers have copped between $3,000 and $10,000 fines too.

In 2008, a Celtic fan streaked during the Union of European Football Associations Champions League match between Manchester United and the Celtics, and cost the Celtic team a whopping $68,335.
