The Aldi Father’s Day special buys you can’t miss
Father’s Day is just weeks away (1 September), and if you’re struggling to find something for your dad, there’s a good chance Aldi will have something.
Its latest special buy sale sees everything from 40” Full HD Smart TVs ($319) to turntables ($69.99), vinyl records and Biltong ($7.99) hit shelves on Wednesday 21 August.
Records by The Rat Pack, Bruce Springsteen, Frank Sinatra, Guns ‘N’ Roses, Johnny Cash, Bob Marley and the Wailers, and Elvis Presley are on sale for $14.99.
This is significantly cheaper than the average price of a record at independent stores, where they range from $35-$45, and much cheaper than those offered at JB Hi-FI which can cost anything between $32 and $110.
If the father figure you’re buying for isn’t so much into music, but does like a salty snack, the Biltong gift packs - priced between $7.99 and $9.99 could be the ticket.
Or there’s a three-pack of Jack Daniels’ sauces for $14.99, and a pancake shake mix for $1.99.
Bluetooth headphones are $49.99, and Green’s Premium cake mixes are $2.99.
And if you’re buying for someone who needs a gentle reminder to wash, the two-pack Rexona antiperspirant deodorant could be the perfect gift.
As the Church of England’s Reverend Stephen Cottrell famously said in 2009, Jesus would have shopped at Aldi.
And this latest sale proves it: there really is something for everyone.
