Apple has revealed the best apps in 2019, and surprisingly, Instagram and Facebook don’t make the cut.
“The 2019 App Store Best Apps and Games winners reflect our global desire for connection, creativity and fun,” Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing, Phil Schiller said.
These apps sat “at the nexus of digital and pop culture,” Apple stated.
Here’s the list:
iPhone App of the Year: Spectre Camera (Lux Optics)
This app leverages tech to let anyone take long-exposure photos, Apple stated.
iPad App of the Year: Flow by Moleskine (Moleskine)
Users are able to draw and sketch in a digital notebook app, whose pencils and markers have been tuned to mimic real tools.
Mac App of the Year: Affinity Publisher (Serif Labs)
This app makes pro-level design accessible to everyone, and has a reasonable price-point too, Apple stated.
Apple TV App of the Year: The Explorers (The Explorers Network)
Designed to make a “visual inventory” of the natural world through photo and video, this app is designed specifically for explorers, scientists and artists.
