Texas signee makes absurd one-handed TD catch while double-covered in state high school playoffs

Texas signee Ja’Tavion Sanders made the best TD catch you’re going to see on New Year’s Day 2021.

Sanders opened the scoring for Ryan High School in its Texas high school playoff game against Highland Park on Friday with a ridiculous one-handed catch between two defenders.

Just watch how absurd this is. Ryan entered Friday’s game at 12-0 while Highland Park is 11-0.

Completely unfair.

Sanders signed with Texas in December after he originally committed in 2019. And wide receiver isn’t his main position either. Sanders is a four-star defensive end recruit. He’s the No. 2 weakside defensive end in the country and the No. 13 player in the state of Texas and the No. 62 player in the United States.

Maybe Texas should use him on a couple of goal-line plays in the next few seasons.
