This TikTok parent shared a video of her toddler daughter waiting excitedly for her dad to get home, and it’s so heartwarming!
Kenzie Shayne (@kenzieshayne) is a parent who shares videos of her 2 adorable kids on TikTok. For Kenzie’s toddler daughter, Payson, the best part of every day is the moment her dad returns home. Kenzie recently shared an incredibly sweet video showing just how excited Payson gets in the moments leading up to her dad’s homecoming.

The adorable video, which racked up 1.9 million views and counting, begins with Payson standing in the living room of her home. Kenzie films the toddler, who stands in front of the camera with a serious expression on her face.
When Kenzie asks Payson, “Who’s coming home?” the toddler’s face immediately breaks into a giant grin.
“Dada!” Payson exclaims, smiling from ear to ear.
“Should we go wait for Daddy?” Kenzie asks, and Payson nods eagerly.
The toddler runs to the window at the front of the house and pulls aside the curtain to search for her dad. After staring out for a moment, she exclaims, “I see dad!” Then, turning to face her mom, she says, “I’m so excited!”
Then, Payson turns back to the window and rests her elbows on the sill. She peers intently out the window as, outside, her dad jogs up the driveway towards the house. He waves as he approaches, then kneels down to greet Payson from outside. After a moment, Payson runs from the window to the door, begging her mom, “Open door, okay?”

The adorable toddler begins pulling on the door handle just as her dad opens the door from the outside. When the door finally opens all the way, both father and daughter smile widely. Payson begins to giggle as her dad crouches down and envelops her in a big hug.
“Missed ya,” Payson says to her dad, as she takes his hand and leads him into the house.
Viewers were moved by the adorable video, and several dads shared their own emotional fatherhood experiences in the comments section.
“From a dad’s point of view, there’s nothing in the world like this,” one TikTok dad wrote.
“As a dad, there is no better feeling. My youngest is leaving for college next week, so I’ll be on the other side of the glass from now on,” another dad commented.
“I could watch this 100 times and it wouldn’t be enough. She is so adorable. Can’t wait to be a #GirlDad in 2 months,” one dad-to-be shared.
