The banks have fallen for a second straight day after ANZ's announcement of a $3 billion capital raising.
ORI - ORICA - down $3.19, or 16.9 per cent, at $15.64
Orica's shares have taken a pummelling and could be set for more punishment after the explosives maker shocked investors by announcing a profit downgrade and an asset writedown of as much as $1.65 billion.

Private hospitals operator Ramsay Health Care has reaffirmed its guidance for core net profit following the publication of the financial results for French hospitals group Generale de Sante.

Mining giant Rio Tinto will make deeper cost cuts and slash spending after plunging iron ore prices caused a massive fall in half year profit.

Virgin Australia will axe flights to Bali and Phuket in an effort to turn around its loss-making international business and get back to profitability for the first time in four years.
