Stocks to watch

JBH - JB HI-FI - up $2.79, or 10 per cent, to $30.75

The electronics and whitegoods retailer lifted full-year profit 7.1 per cent to $249.8 million and tips more to come.

JF Hi-Fi shares are at a record high and up 38.9 per cent on the year.

NEC - NINE ENTERTAINMENT - up two cents, or 1.1 per cent, to $1.895

MRN - MACQUARIE MEDIA - down 31 cents, or 17.8 per cent, to $1.435.

Nine looks set to take sole ownership of Macquarie Media, offering $1.46 per share in a bid that values the 2GB and 3AW talk radio owner at $275.4 million.

REA - REA GROUP - up $6.11, or 6.3 per cent, to $102.75

DHG - DOMAIN HOLDINGS - up 13 cents, or 4.7 per cent, to $2.89

It was a strong day for the two real estate listings companies (REA Group owns realestate.com.au, while Domain owns Domain.com.au), with REA shares hitting a record high.

CLW - CHARTER HALL LONG WALE REIT - up 10 cents, or 1.9 per cent, to $5.38

The property trust, which engages in long-term leases to corporate and government tenants, announced a full-year statutory profit of $69.6 million and a distribution of 26.9 cents per share - both up 2.0 per cent.

GPT - GPT GROUP - down 16 cents, or 2.6 per cent, to $6.09

The diversified property group said its net profit after tax was down 51.6 per cent in the six months to June 30 due to "more modest portfolio valuation gains compared to prior periods, and mark to market losses across the hedge book due to a significant reduction in interest rates".

BEN - BENDIGO AND ADELAIDE - up 36 cents, or 3.4 per cent, to $11.11

The regional-focused lender says increased redundancy and remediation costs have fuelled a 6.6 per cent decline in full-year cash earnings to $415 million.

ANN - ANSELL - up $1.54, or six per cent, to $27.41

The latex glove company met the top end of its guidance with 111.5 US cents per share in earnings on sales of $US1.5 billion ($A2.2 billion).

AUZ - AUSTRALIAN MINES - up 0.5 cents, or 25 per cent, to 2.5 cents

The Brisbane-based miner said assay results on drilling at its Flemington Project 370km west of Sydney had found more high-grade cobalt and scandium mineralisation than previously thought.

STX - STRIKE ENERGY - up one cent, or 8.3 per cent, to 13 cents

WGO - WARREGO ENERGY - up 1.5 cents, or 9.1 per cent, to 18 cents

Strike gave an update on the West Erregulla-2 gas exploration well it's drilling 230km northeast of Perth, saying a secondary target it had hit appears to be bigger than previously estimated.

The primary target of the well, co-owned with Warrego Energy, has yet to be drilled.
