A stepmom has gone viral for sharing a touching moment with her bonus child, and TikTok is bawling!
When TikToker and stepmom Ashley (@ashleyromano1228) started recording her stepdaughter Aubree’s reaction to the song “My Girl,” by Elvie Shane, she never expected her child to have this reaction.
Now, the emotional video has been viewed over 13 million times — and TikTok is crying right along with Aubree!
At first, both Ashley and Aubree are just casually listening to the song — but when the lyrics start to sink in, her little girl breaks down in tears.
And upon reading the lyrics to the song — “My Girl” by Elvie Shane — it’s no wonder why it brought them both to tears!

In response to Ashley’s emotional video, some TikTokers were confused about their family situation.
Ashley explained in the comments, “Aubree still has her bio mom! She is blessed with TWO. Yes we all get along. We all LOVE her.”
She clarified in another comment, “I promise she’s happy! She’s got both her mom and myself, her dad and her step dad.”
Ashley’s family is so blended and healthy, even Aubree’s biological mom, Stevie, left a loving comment. “I couldn’t have asked for a better woman to become my daughter’s stepmom! Now she has 2 strong women who love & protect her!”
To this, Ashley warmly replied, “Hey gf! I’m so happy to hear that moms can come together and be as one for our kids. Keep on being you, both of you!”

In response to Ashley’s video, over 48,000 emotional comments came pouring in.
“Literally praying my ex husband finds someone like you to love my son like this. Good job momma,” one user wrote.
“As a mother with a daughter who adores her stepmom, I absolutely love this. Thank you to our bonus moms, you ladies do not get enough credit!” another user commented.
“Nothing like the love of someone who CHOOSES to love despite all else,” commented another user.
“Choosing to be a parent hits different. Bonus families are such a blessing. Wrapping y’all in love,” another user wrote.
