In this episode of In the Know: Treat Yourself, host Melanie Sutrathada shares some of her favorite go-to bases that help build a good foundation for any makeup look, while also keeping your skin protected.
One of the most important things when it comes to a good base is sunscreen. “Your skin is a living, breathing organ, and it’s super important to protect it from UV rays,” explains Melanie. Her go-to product for sun protection is Tatcha’s Silken Pore Perfecting Sunscreen.
“It is perfect for acting as an effective primer before makeup, plus of course it offers an SPF of 35,” the beauty expert shares. Not to mention its silk extract leaves skin feeling uber smooth. “It’s really sunscreen meets skin care so it’s the best of both worlds,” concludes Melanie.
Next up is the “iconic” Pat McGrath’s Skin Fetish: Sublime Perfection System Totale. The kit includes concealer, foundation, an under-eye powder, a setting powder, a primer, and three brushes. All products are customizable to your skin’s shade to ensure it fits you just right.
