User @arzinhoo started the trend in May when he posted a video with the caption, “Step one: treat her right.” He included footage of driving with his girlfriend, taking her on trips and their living space.
There are now over 233,000 videos associated with the popular sound, and the hashtag #step1 has over 460 million views on TikTok.
“Graduate. Don’t mess up and sit out while all ur friends graduating,” @swirlyadrian1 advised, speaking from experience.
“Step one: Don’t leave ur boys for a girl,” @stipo_sandrk wrote in a caption. He created a montage of the good times he had with his friends.
“Step 1: Never cheat on your girl,” @ayothatslc said, sharing a photo of him hugging his girlfriend.
