Sources: LeBron James to play Saturday night against Portland
Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James will play Saturday night against the Portland Trail Blazers despite dealing with a groin injury, league sources told Yahoo Sports.
The Lakers had ruled James’ status for the Portland game as questionable.
The four-time MVP re-aggravated his groin during the Christmas Day loss to the Los Angeles Clippers.
The initial groin injury forced James to miss a game in Indiana last week.
It has not been determined if James will suit up in the second game of a back-to-back at home against the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday.
James is averaging 25.7 points, 7.6 rebounds and 10.6 assists through 30 games this season for the Lakers, who have the best record in the West at 24-7.
