Valentine’s Day is right around the corner, and there’s nothing that says ‘I love you’ more than chocolate. And if you’re hoping to surprise bae with something sweet and delicious, look no further than Sol Cacao.

It’s a Black-owned company in the Bronx that delivers some of the finest chocolate bars in New York City, thanks to its Caribbean founders.

Growing up in Trinidad and Tobago, brothers Dominic, Nicholas and Daniel Maloney enjoyed their fair share of sweets. The brothers would eat chocolate from the trees they grew and picked themselves with the lush and bounty cacao plants throughout the Caribbean.

But it wasn’t until their move to the U.S. that they decided to make Sol Cacao a reality. Inspired by the lack of similar quality chocolate in the States, the brothers wanted to bring to the market “a type of chocolate that elevates taste.”

Now, these bars are the real deal.

They contain only two ingredients: cacao beans and raw cane sugar. Additionally, each bar has ingredients from a different country.

For example, you can snag the Madagascar Chocolate, which contains 72 percent cacao from Amanja Madagascar. Or, you can take home Peru Chocolate with 70 percent cacao from Oro Verde Peru.

As a bonus, Sol Cacao is a bean-to-bar operation, which means it controls all production stages and prioritizes small, quality batches. Plus, the company values sustainable farming practices and environmental preservation.

So, whether you have a sweet tooth or just need a gift for your loved one, these bars are the perfect snack.
