SNAPSHOT OF VICTORIA'S CORONAVIRUS OUTBREAK:

NEW CASES

* 705 new locally acquired cases

* One death: a man in his 70s from Darebin

* Death toll from the current outbreak: 25

* 8538 active cases in the state

* Of the latest cases in metropolitan Melbourne:

- 412 new cases are in Melbourne's northern suburbs, including Craigieburn, Roxburgh Park, Meadow Heights and Epping

- 165 cases in western suburbs, including Point Cook, Tarneit and Truganina

- 84 cases in southeastern suburbs, including Pakenham, Dandenong and Hampton Park

- 32 cases in eastern suburbs, including Boronia and Camberwell

* 12 cases in regional Victoria including:

- Four cases in Macedon Ranges

- Two cases in Mitchell Shire

- Two cases in Geelong

- One case in Baw Baw

- One case in Ballarat

* 81 per cent of new cases are aged under 50, 23 per cent in their 20s

* 363 people in hospital - up 38 from Sunday - of which 75 are in intensive care, including 56 on a ventilator

* 51,252 COVID-19 test results received to Monday morning

* 28,000 primary close contacts, 1000 released on Sunday

VACCINATIONS

* 29,657 COVID-19 vaccine doses on Sunday at state-run hubs

* 78.3 per cent of Victorians aged 16 and over have had at least one dose and 47.7 per cent are fully vaccinated

* 33 per cent of Victorian children aged 12 to 15 have had at least one dose

* 4000 first doze Pfizer appointments available this week, 7400 for AstraZeneca

EXPOSURE SITES

* More than 570 exposure sites, including a Wodonga supermarket and a pasta shop in Fairfield.
