‘Smooth’ mom uses taco to ‘trick’ her picky-eating baby girl into trying carrots

Taco Tuesday is a little bit different at one mother’s house.

Infants and toddlers are the pickiest of eaters. Their little palates are still developing, which means they can be quite fussy about dinner. Something as simple as the color of a food can totally turn them off, even before they’ve tasted it. That can be super frustrating for parents who have to get their kids to eat something.

Luckily, TikTok mom Torey Grace had the perfect solution when her baby girl refused to eat carrots.

“Taco Tuesday. My baby is only eating her vegetables one way,” Grace said in a video caption.

Her little girl sat in a high chair. Each time Grace tried spoon-feeding her carrots, the baby refused. She winced, moaned and groaned.

“Do you want some of mommy’s taco?” Grace asked the baby girl.

The mother took her taco and held it up to the baby’s nose. Then she put the spoonful of carrots under the taco and straight into her daughter’s mouth.

Grace’s “Taco Tuesday” hack earned 1.8 million views. TikTokers appreciated the mom’s clever tactic.

“Amazing hack. I never thought of that,” someone commented.

“I was never that smooth. My daughter saw my tricks a mile away,” another wrote.

“Sometimes you just have to do what you have to do,” a user said.
