At just 23 years old, Chlöe Bailey has the career that people dream of. She is best known for being one half of Chloe x Halle, the Grammy-nominated music duo that she and her sister Halle created. But just last year, she released the first single, “Have Mercy,” from her upcoming solo debut album. So you can expect big things on the horizon for the young artist. And to kick off 2022, the singer, songwriter and actress is In The Know’s January cover star.
Photographer Shaniqwa Jarvis shot this month’s cover at Brooklyn’s Industria Williamsburg. Bailey wore a variety of looks featuring luxury designers, including Christian Cowan and Jimmy Choo.
The creative team on set chose to dress Bailey in monochromatic sets that correspond to four different moods. The red look is for strength, blue for calm, yellow for euphoric joy and pink for soft romance. The Atlanta-born stunner had her hair and makeup done by Nicole Newland and Billie Jean, respectively, while Blair Cannon styled the cover wardrobe.
Additionally, Bailey sat down for an interview with Elaine Welteroth, In The Know’s consulting editor at large, over Zoom. The two talked about her music, self-love, sexual empowerment and what it’s like to have a sibling in the same industry.
