Sequitur Labs Joins Edge AI and Vision Alliance

·3-min read

Sequitur Labs today announced that it has joined the Edge AI and Vision Alliance, a global community of technology providers, leaders and startups dedicated to advancement in AI-powered computer vision and edge technologies.

Founded in 2011, the Edge AI and Vision Alliance now has more than 100 members that supply or use technologies for edge AI or vision systems and applications. Through the Alliance, members can leverage early insights into new markets, technologies, applications and standards; increase influence over the direction of the industry; and increase visibility with analysts and media. Sequitur brings to the Alliance its visionary approach and expertise in security to help IoT device developers ensure their products are protected from attacks starting with the manufacturing process and throughout the life of the product.

Sequitur Labs’ EmSPARK Security Suite was designed to address solutions in industries where embedded security is paramount, in particular, protection of AI models at the edge. Supporting security functions for encryption, storage, data transmission and key/certificate management are delivered by EmSPARK and housed in the secure environment. IoT hardware manufacturers use EmSPARK to easily implement device-level security by addressing all the technical, IP, supply chain and business process challenges. Developers can easily build applications that use secure resources without having to become experts in cryptography and complex hardware security technologies.

"Industry alliances are highly valuable assets in the business world, as they help consumers understand how those in the consortium can work together for the betterment of the community and the improvement of the customer experience," said Larry O’Connell, Vice President of Marketing, Sequitur Labs. "As a company that is heavily invested in helping secure IoT devices, joining the Edge AI and Vision Alliance opens up opportunities for us to work with other members on initiatives that will improve our ecosystem and help deliver solutions that overcome the challenges we all face."

The Alliance was formed and is operated by BDTI, a trusted provider of technology analysis and engineering services for more than 25 years. Alliance membership is open to any company that supplies or uses technology for edge AI or vision systems and applications. Alliance Members benefit from Member Programs which are designed to accelerate success in edge and visual AI.
