While Australian shoppers back away from credit cards, makeup retailer Sephora is stepping forward, introducing a suite of credit cards available to makeup lovers.

The three cards, a Sephora Credit Card, Sephora Visa Credit Card and Sephora Visa Signature Credit Card will be available to select US shoppers in the next few months before being rolled out to all US stores and sephora.com.

It’s unknown when the cards will hit Australian shores.

“The Sephora Credit Card was the natural next step in our loyalty journey, truly adding even more value that our clients can use not only within our stores, but also in their day-to-day lives,” said Andrea Zaretsky, Sephora’s senior vice president of customer relations management and loyalty, in a statement obtained by Allure.

“The launch of the Sephora Credit Card exemplifies Sephora’s loyalty philosophy in every sense; it considers all the most-loved aspects of Sephora — the amazing product, services, experiences and personalization — taking our client experience to the next level through special access, rewards and perks.”

Those who use the Sephora Card will also be automatically admitted to the Sephora Beauty Insider membership program.

Sephora said cardholders can earn rewards by using the cards, in addition to the rewards from the Beauty Insider Program.
