The secret to a perfect cut crease is hiding in your kitchen: “I honestly didn’t expect this to be so easy”

Most people use spoons to sip soup or chow down on a bowl of cereal. But you may want to add the silver utensil to your beauty arsenal — especially if you have a hard time carving out a defined cut crease.

In the latest episode of Pretty Beautiful, In The Know video producer Lisa Azcona tries the TikTok-famous hack of using a spoon to define a cut crease. And, spoiler, it actually works.

In her tutorial, Lisa uses the CoverGirl Eye Enhancer Palette in Al Fresco to achieve her spoon-assisted makeup look. She places the spoon (scoop side down) on her eyelid, letting the utensil gently cover her lid. After making sure the contour of the spoon follows along her natural crease, Lisa applies a dark brown shadow to her eyelid, blending as she goes along.

After removing the spoon, Lisa reveals a pretty impressive eye look, courtesy of a kitchen utensil.

“I honestly didn’t expect this to be so easy,” Lisa says in the video. “I love how it looks.”

The only downside? Putting a chilly spoon directly on your skin. But there might actually be perks to the frigid metal.

“At first, the spoon was kind of cold,” Lisa says. “But honestly, it probably helps reduce puffiness in the process.”

Now that’s seeing the glass (or cereal bowl) as half full.
