Sandor Martin vs Kay Prosper live stream: How to watch fight online and on TV

Kay Prosper faces off (Matchroom Boxing)
Kay Prosper faces off (Matchroom Boxing)

Kay Prosper is primed for his big night as the Briton eyes a major upset to claim the European super-lightweight title from Sandor Martin in Barcelona tonight. He tops the bill on the Matchroom card in Spain, though there is a Briton vs Spain theme throughout the night.

Next up, and also eyeing up European honours, is Gavin McDonnell, who takes on Andoni Gago with his featherweight title up for grabs. Prosper has a clean record with a solitary defeat from 16 outings in the pro ranks and takes confidence into this fight after defeating Bilal Rehman in his last outing, though the big favourite, Martin, can boast more rounds and experience with 39 fights and just two defeats - despite being nine years Prosper’s junior.

This will be his second defence of the European belt, after winning it back in 2019 against Andrea Scarpa, before a defence against Joe Hughes. Prosper is hoping his work alongside Xavier Miller, who also trains Dillian Whyte, will pay off in what is the biggest night of his career to date, and reflected on his incredible story and pride at receiving his British passport, but now he is aware of the monumental task in front of him as a big underdog and travelling fighter, which could impact his chances to win on points.

“I’m sure he has trained hard and that he’s going to be in good shape but it’s tactical warfare and I don’t think he can prepare for what we’re going to bring to the table,” he told The Independent. “I’m not going to get no favours over there. I can’t go and fiddle it. I have to dominate him or knock him out. I’ll be going there with a maximum violence intention.”

Here is everything you need to know:

The fight takes place on Friday, 23 April, the card starts at 7pm BST, while Martin and Prosper can be expected in the ring around 10pm BST, though that could change depending on the outcomes of the fights on the undercard.
