Yahoo Finance Sam Edelman is launching its first fragrance this month

Although you might know Sam Edelman for its stylish clothing and accessories, the brand is now hopping on the beauty bandwagon. Just this week, the brand announced its first fragrance!
The fragrance, called Signature by Sam Edelman, will launch on the brand’s site, through Scent Beauty and at Macy’s on Sept. 15. The eau de parfum starts at $68, which feels pretty standard for most designer fragrances.
As we’ve seen a lot (especially during the pandemic), celebrities, influencers and fashion brands are stepping into beauty territory to stay marketable (and profitable).
“We’ve thought about doing fragrance, hair, makeup and overall beauty since we started our business because our concept was always to be lifestyle designers,” Edelman told WWD.
“Fragrance is the epitome of a designer’s ability to tell his story, and for me, we’ve worked very, very hard on the fragrance, packaging and the bottle,” he said. “It’s going to elevate the brand, it’s going to help continue the rise and knowledge of who we are.”
