RenaissanceRe (RNR) Q4 Earnings and Revenues Top Estimates

RenaissanceRe (RNR) came out with quarterly earnings of $7.33 per share, beating the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $6.58 per share. This compares to earnings of $4.71 per share a year ago. These figures are adjusted for non-recurring items.

This quarterly report represents an earnings surprise of 11.40%. A quarter ago, it was expected that this insurance company would post a loss of $7.42 per share when it actually produced a loss of $9.27, delivering a surprise of -24.93%.

Over the last four quarters, the company has surpassed consensus EPS estimates two times.
