This Grade II listed, bow-fronted Georgian townhouse lies on a cobbled street that has barely changed in 200 years – which explains why it’s so in demand as a film set. Duke's Street, designed by master builder Thomas Cubitt, was a backdrop for The Aeronauts with Eddie Redmayne and Felicity Jones, Christopher Robin, and Living, starring Bill Nighy who’s up for the leading actor award at this year’s Oscars. The five storey house house was once a shop and the ground floor – now a self-contained one-bedroom flat – was the location for Rosco’s dog grooming salon in the 2021 film Cruella, starring Emma Stone. There are four further bedrooms and lots of period features such as sash windows, wooden shutters and the original staircase. It's available through Knight Frank.

Alfred Hitchcock used this hillside villa as a set for To Catch a Thief

Now’s your chance to grab a piece of movie history, as this villa was picked by Alfred Hitchcock as the setting for his 1955 film To Catch a Thief, featuring Cary Grant and Grace Kelly. Many of the scenes were shot here, and the film received an Oscar for best cinematography and was nominated in the best set category. Updated by the current owners, the house sits high up on the hills above Nice and has seven bedrooms, a swimming pool, lush grounds and enjoys panoramic views of the city and sea. It’s also very convenient for the Cannes Film Festival, taking place in May. Via Côte d'Azur Sotheby’s International Realty.
