- Walmart is in the process of cutting hundreds of corporate jobs and also asking most of its remote workforce to move to offices.

- Kraft Heinz is exploring the sale of its famed hot-dog business Oscar Mayer and has tapped Bank of America and Centerview Partners to gauge interest in the business, a sale of which could fetch between $3 billion to $5 billion.

- Ride-hailing company Uber will acquire Delivery Hero's Foodpanda branded takeaway business in Taiwan for $950 million in cash, the companies said on Tuesday.

- ChatGPT maker OpenAI said it would release a new AI model called GPT-4o, capable of realistic voice conversation and able to interact across text and image, its latest move to stay ahead in a race to dominate the emerging technology.

- Electric-vehicle maker Fisker secured about $3.5 million in additional financing via notes due next month, the company said, as the cash-strapped company continues to look at options to help it stay afloat.
