Pizza Hut dunks all over Manchester United on Twitter as transfer window closes

As Romelu Lukaku was leaving, a sick burn arrived at Old Trafford courtesy of Pizza Hut.

The chain restaurant’s United Kingdom Twitter account trolled Manchester United after Thursday’s transfer deadline came and went, making fun of club executive vice chairman Ed Woodward for a perceived lack of big signings:

Despite losing Lukaku, United did spend a record amount of money on defender Harry Maguire this week. Maybe he wasn’t big enough for Pizza Hut?

Chin up, Red Devils: Pizza Hut has poked fun at everyone from your bitter rival Leeds United to music superstar Kanye West. The restaurant even made fun of Jose Mourinho after he was sacked as United manager in December:

Pizza Hut doesn’t sponsor any of the Big Six sides in the Premier League, instead the beneficiary of a lucrative sponsorship with the National Football League.

United ended up as one of our transfer losers from Deadline Day. Pizza Hut’s here to pile on the toppings.
