Would you pay $1830 for an iPhone?

Wondering how much the new iPhone X and iPhone 8 will cost in Australia?

Well, here goes. The most expensive is the 5.8 inch iPhone X, which here in Australia will set you back a whopping A$1829 for the 256GB model – the same price you would pay for a half decent laptop or tablet with a much larger screen.

The 64GB storage iPhone X cost a bit less at A$1579.

If you want to pre-order the just announced ‘X’ phone, you can do so from 6:01PM AEDT on October 27 and expect delivery from November 03 – so just in time for Christmas.

The iPhone 8, the other model announced in the US overnight, is cheaper by comparison and starts at  A$1079 for a smaller 4.7-inch screen and 64GB storage, while the 256GB model will set you back A$1329. It comes in silver, gold and space grey finishes.

The larger 5.5-inch iPhone 8 Plus starts from A$1229 (64GB model) and the 256GB version will cost A$1479.

You’ll be able to get your hands on the iPhone 8 faster – it ships from later this month – September 22, while pre-orders start from this Friday September 15 at 6:01PM AEDT.

As for the new Apple Watch Series 3, it starts at A$459 for the 38mm aluminium version with GPS and A$499 for the larger 42mm screen.

If you want 4G internet connectivity it will set you back A$559 for the smaller screen and A$599 for the 42mm watch display.

Finally, Apple are charging $849/$919 for stainless steel case versions.
