Queensland billionaire and Liberal National Party (LNP) supporter Clive Palmer has called for Deputy Premier Jeff Seeney to be sacked.
He has accused Mr Seeney of misusing his power.
A report by a cultural heritage group found Mr Palmer's company, Waratah Coal, ignored cultural heritage laws during the development of the Carmichael East project near Clermont, west of Rockhampton in central Queensland.
Mr Seeney has ordered his department to conduct a review of all of Mr Palmer's Queensland mining interests.
He says he wants to ensure Mr Palmer is complying with all the conditions of approval.
"I'm very concerned that yet again, there is an accusation that Clive Palmer seems to think that he doesn't have to obey the rules in Queensland," he said.
"It is absolutely important that the people of Queensland understand that despite any political connections, that Clive Palmer will be treated the same as everybody else." Mr Palmer says he is being bullied.
He says the LNP should sack Mr Seeney and the State Government's leadership should be reviewed by the party.
Mr Palmer says he will also lodge a disciplinary complaint with the LNP against Treasurer Tim Nicholls, who he says has lied about the state's economy.
The Queensland Opposition Leader Annastacia Palaszczuk says Premier Campbell Newman needs to intervene to sort out the situation.
