The candy maker itself has over 1,000 reviews on Amazon. The coolest thing about this gadget is that all it takes is an on/off switch to do its thing. One shopper said that the candy maker is great when you use about three gelatin packets.

“Some complain about the pot heating up too slow and used the stove instead,” the customer noted in a review. “I don’t know, I thought it heated up just fine, and it makes it a lot more fun to use the included pot and everyone got a chance to stir. The molds are fantastic. I also recommend, like others have said, to use either 2 or 3 packets of the unflavored gelatine. We used three packets, and they came out great.”

Another customer who bought the device and left four stars said, “it is very tricky to pour the gelatin into the trays.”

“I bought this for my 10-yr-old and he loves it,” they explained in the review. “The only thing I’d say is it is very tricky to pour the gelatin into the trays, so supervision (and a steady hand) is required. Otherwise, fun project to do with the kids, and it sets up very fast.”

If you’ve got a sweet tooth and don’t mind DIY-ing your candy, this device will do you just right.
