Australia’s S&P/ASX 200 (Index: ^AXJO)(ASX: XJO) and ALL ORDINARIES (Index: ^AXAO) (ASX: XAO) indices finished lower on Wednesday.
Here’s a short recap of the Australian market:
- S&P/ASX 200 (Index: ^AXJO) (ASX: XJO) lower 1.38% to 6.720.40
- ALL ORDINARIES (Index: ^AXAO) (ASX: XAO) lower 1.27% to 6,826.50
- AUD/USD at US 68 cents
- Gold at US$1,474.41 an ounce
- Brent Oil at US$60.84 a barrel
One of the best-performing ASX 200 shares today was the ALS Ltd (ASX: ALQ) share price which increased by 11% after reporting its half year result.
The share price of Technology One Limited (ASX: TNE) rose another 10% today after yesterday’s report.
The Aristocrat Leisure Limited (ASX: ALL) share price increased by 6.2% after the gaming business announced its FY19 result.
The share price of Pro Medicus Limited (ASX: PME) rose around 4.5% after holding its AGM yesterday.
Another AGM today was held by Webjet Limited (ASX: WEB) which gave some guidance for its underlying profit in FY20 and the upcoming half year result, sending the share price up 3%.
Gold miner Saracen Mineral Holdings Limited (ASX: SAR) saw its share price fall 10.6% after coming back to trade from its capital raising & acquisition announcement.
The Monadelphous Group Limited (ASX: MND) share price went up 4.5% after holding its AGM yesterday and securing a large maintenance contract today.
Finally, the share price of Platinum Asset Management Ltd (ASX: PTM) dropped 3.4% after holding its AGM and warning about market conditions.
