A Brisbane man has shown off his sickening injuries after a shocking brawl at a junior rugby league game.

Josh Jones, 35, was hospitalised after the brawl broke out during an Under-13s game between Wynnum Manly and Logan Brothers at Kitchener Park on Sunday.

Shocking footage of the fight was circulated on social media, showing adult spectators entering the field of play to fight one another.

Jones suffered serious facial injuries in the melee and had to be taken to hospital.

Photos emerged of Jones' injuries on Wednesday night, showing the father with sickening cuts and bruises on his face.

According to police, Jones was allegedly pushed down a flight of stairs, knocking over a 59-year-old woman in the process.

Police said he then attempted to “remove himself from the confrontation by walking on to the sports ground”.

“However the altercation continued and more people became involved,” police said in a statement.

Jones' father has since provided more details to Seven News.

"And all he wanted to do was get away," Rick Jones said.

“I ran in. It was too late. He was on the ground.

“I raced in and I threw myself into the offenders and their friends.

“When I did that I got my shirt torn off my body. I got punched to the head. It was mayhem.”

Four men have since been charged and were taken into police custody on Wednesday.

Jones’ father told Nine News the alleged attackers acted “like a pack of wolves”.

A GoFundMe page has since been set up to provide financial support for Jones and his family.

“Josh was ready to commence with a new job on Tuesday, but now has no idea when he will be able to start,” Debbie Saint wrote on the page.

“Looking to raise funds to take the immediate financial pressure off this family, while they heal physically and emotionally.”
