Nicola Peltz admitted husband Brooklyn Beckham was left fearing she would be a no-show at their wedding after she was delayed walking down the aisle due to taking photos in her bridal gown.

The couple said ‘I do’ in a lavish ceremony last April at her family’s Palm Beach estate in Florida, which was attended by a slew of famous faces including Eva Longoria and Gordon Ramsay.

According to the Chippendales actress, the pressure of the wedding day got to Beckham, who kept texting her to see if she was going to walk down the aisle after she kept him waiting.

She told Cosmopolitan: “Our one night apart last year was the night before the wedding. We were panicking. He was texting me the day of the wedding, asking ‘Are you walking down the aisle? Are you walking down the aisle?’”

“I was like, ‘I have to go walk down the aisle’. Brooklyn had texted, ‘What are you doing? Are you ready?’ I was like ‘Yes, I’m going to walk down. Don’t worry. I love you.’”

The star-studded affair, which reportedly cost £2.3 million ($3m), was attended by his parents, David and Victoria Beckham, as well as Serena and Venus Williams.

In the same interview, Peltz once again addressed rumours that she is feuding with her mother-in-law.

It was first reported that the two were at odds over her decision to wear a custom Valentino gown to her wedding instead of one designed by the former Spice Girl last year.

Now just weeks before her wedding anniversary, the 28-year-old slammed the ongoing rift reports and said: “I’ve said this so many times: There’s no feud. I don’t know. No one ever wants to write the nice things.

“It’s really weird, actually, whether it’s my life or someone else’s life or whatever, when you know the truth and then you read something totally wrong.”

Both Peltz and Beckham have previously denied reports of a rift. Proving they are on good terms, the Transformers actress supported the designer at her Paris Fashion Week show earlier this month.

After the event Beckham, 49, posted a photo of the Beckham family with Peltz and captioned the image: “We couldn’t do it without you, I love you all so much!”

Speaking to Variety last summer, the screen star explained that her decision to rock a Valentino wedding gown was not a snub to Beckham, but a matter of logistics.

“I was going to [wear Victoria Beckham] and I really wanted to,” she insisted. “And then a few months down the line, she realised that her atelier couldn’t do it, so then I had to pick another dress.

“She didn’t say you can’t wear it; I didn’t say I didn’t want to wear it. That’s where it started, and then they ran with that.”

She also previously told Grazia: “I was planning on wearing Victoria’s wedding dress and I was truly so excited to be able to wear a design that my future mother-in-law created.

“I thought that was so beautiful and such a beautiful story.”
