Ex-Bengals CB Adam 'Pacman' Jones arrested, charged with assault

Adam "Pacman" Jones is in trouble with the law again.

Arrest records from Hamilton County, Ohio, show that the former Cincinnati Bengals cornerback was arrested early Monday morning on a misdemeanor assault charge. According to Cincinnati TV station WCPO, Jones was arrested after allegedly punching and kicking a person in the head until they were unconscious.

Jones, 37, is being held on $25,000 bond and is scheduled to go in front of a judge on Monday.

Pacman known for legal issues

Jones played in the NFL from 2005-2018, but his career was dotted with legal problems. Most famously, he was suspended for the entire 2007 season for inciting a melee at a Las Vegas strip club, which led to a shooting. He eventually pleaded no contest to disorderly conduct charges and was ordered to pay over $11 million to victims of the incident after a civil trial.

After his first four years in the NFL, which were spent with the Tennessee Titans and Dallas Cowboys, Jones signed with the Bengals and spent eight seasons there. During his time with the Bengals, he was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct three times.

Jones retired after a one-year stint with the Denver Broncos in 2018. In 2019 he pleaded guilty to one count of cheating after an incident at the Rising Star Casino. Jones was captured on video allegedly attempting to alter bets after he'd placed them.
