NewsBreak: Disney+ Tops 10M Subscribers on First Day; Disney Shares Jump
Investing.com – Disney said Wednesday its Disney+ plus streaming service surpassed 10 million subscribers on its debut yesterday, sending shares to session highs.
Shares of Disney (NYSE:DIS) jumped sharply after the announcement, rising 3.2% in midday trading.
Wall Street was looking for about 8 million subscribers for the first day.
Disney is offering a one-week free trial of the service, so not all current subscribers will convert to paying memberships.
