NBA draft: Tyrese Haliburton's 'Black Lives Matter' suit, Anthony Edwards' company highlight virtual setup

The NBA draft was forced to go virtual this year due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

That, though, didn't stop draft prospects from going all out with their fashion choices.

Tyrese Haliburton’s flashy suit

Iowa State star Tyrese Haliburton was in his hometown of Oskosh, Wisconsin, on Wednesday night, but threw on a blue floral suit that checked all of the boxes.

Haliburton had the Oskosh area code, 902, both written on the inside of his jacket and on a necklace and the phrase “Black Lives Matter” written on the other interior flap of his coat.

Haliburton wasn’t alone, either. Plenty of other prospects rocked similar suits themselves.

Anthony Edwards honors mom, grandmother

Former Georgia star Anthony Edwards, the No. 1 overall pick, didn’t suit up like Haliburton, but he did have a few special guests with him.

Edwards had two paintings of his mother and grandmother sitting with him on a couch at his home in Atlanta. Both his mother and his grandmother died of cancer in the same year when he was in eighth grade.

While the draft doesn’t look like any draft in recent history, the incoming class of rookies seems to be making the most of it.
