NASCAR drivers, LeBron James respond to noose found in Bubba Wallace's garage

NASCAR announced on Sunday night that a noose was found in Bubba Wallace’s garage, a racist act directed at NASCAR’s only full-time Black driver. Just over a week after NASCAR banned the display of confederate flags at races in an effort to be inclusive and welcoming to all, NASCAR is now conducting an investigation to find out who targeted Wallace.

NASCAR drivers began responding late Sunday night and Monday morning. Many were disgusted by what happened, but overwhelmingly encouraging to Wallace, who is racing at 3 p.m. ET on Monday after Sunday’s race was delayed due to rain.

NASCAR athletes weren’t the only ones with reactions. LeBron James chimed in, as did Billie Jean King and several others.
