myGov changes to Centrelink, Medicare and Child Support

Soon, when you access Centrelink, Medicare and Child Support services through myGov, you‘ll notice some changes.

Services Australia has announced a range of changes coming to the myGov website in September.

The changes include:

  • A new look, layout and colour

  • A personalised homepage that makes it easier for you to see messages and linked services in one place

  • Information about government payments and services organised by major events in your life

How will the changes affect me?

Services Australia stressed that Aussies accessing their myGov services would not need to do anything differently.

“You’ll still find myGov at and you’ll sign in the same way,” Services Australia said.

“All your linked myGov services are the same, including your links to Medicare, Centrelink and Child Support. myGov will still be safe and secure.”

Other changes to services

The new-look website comes after a range of changes were rolled out from July 1.

For example, Job seekers must get 100 points in the month to qualify for JobSeeker payments under the new Centrelink points-based system.

For families, more than 1.4 million Aussie parents received a cash boost after the Government announced an increase to family payments to ease cost-of-living pressures.

Family Tax Benefit Part A increased by up to $204.40 per year for families with a child under 13 years, and $255.50 per year for those with a child 13 years and over.

Similarly, Family Tax Benefit Part B increased by up to $164.25 per year for families whose youngest child was under five, and $116.80 per year for those whose youngest child was aged five to 18.
