More than 5,000 Amazon shoppers love Magna-Tiles for kids — here's why

Finding toys for kids that will keep them entertained but will also stimulate their minds can be a challenge.

If you’re a parent, an expecting parent or someone looking for a unique gift idea for a kid’s birthday party, Magna-Tiles are one of Amazon’s best-selling toy options — and for good reason. Magna-Tiles inspire imaginative play — and kids can start to learn STEM concepts from them, too.

Yes, a big box of colorful Magna-Tiles look super cool. But kids can use these magnetic “blocks” to build hundreds of different shapes, buildings, towers and more.

Magna-Tiles slogan is,”Where math, science and creativity meet,” which are some of the most important skills and concepts to introduce to kids early on. Created by a Japanese mathematics professor, Magna-Tiles provide hands-on experience when it comes to learning about shapes and geometry.

With this set of 32 tiles, kids can create 3D or flat structures, thanks to various colored pieces and shapes, including two sizes of squares and three different types of triangles (equilateral, right and isosceles).

While kids love the endless possibility of these tiles, many shoppers who have purchased the set love them, too. This Magna-Tiles set currently has more than 5,000 reviews and counting.

“These are fabulous,” one shopper wrote. “I bought them for my grandchildren to use when they come to visit. My three, four, five and seven-year-old grandsons play with them for hours every time they come. The seven-year-old builds tall towers, castles, forts, parking garages and whatever else he decides, while the four and five-year-olds build more simple structures.”

While Magna-Tiles spark creativity, most shoppers also agree that they are constructed well enough to withstand hours of play. One reviewer mentioned they would even buy more of them.

“While the kids love these, I do have my own opinions,” another reviewer said. “I really like the colors, the magnets are strong, and the shapes are sturdy and hard plastic. . . We have played counting games, color games and make believe games, so they are a good learning/developmental toy as well as just a fun toy, which is sometimes hard to come across.”

While this best-selling set only includes 32 tiles, Magna-Tiles offer other set options, which include up to 100 tiles.

The verdict? Maga-Tiles are a win-win for both fun and learning.
