This young TikTok parent of twins shared a video revealing why Adele’s new song brought her to tears, and it’s so emotional!
Jess (@jessicajovel) is a 20-year-old mom of adorable twin daughters. Jess gave birth to her twins when she was still a teenager, and though she adores her daughters, her experience as an 18-year-old mom wasn’t always easy. That’s why when Jess first heard Adele’s new song, “Easy On Me,” she felt an instant connection to it. In an emotional video, Jess shared just how much she relates to the song as a young mom.

The video begins with Jess sitting on her couch, as “Easy On Me” begins to play. As Jess hugs a pillow and stares solemnly into the camera, a caption appears that reads, “Becoming a mom at a young age makes this song hit hard.”
Then, a photo montage begins to play. The first photo shows an ultrasound of the twins before they were born. Then, two photos of Jess while she was pregnant appear. In one, she stands in a field wearing a stylish black dress, while in another, she holds her tank top up to reveal her pregnant belly.
“Go easy on me,” Adele sings in the background. “I was still a child. Didn’t get the chance to feel the world around me.”

Next, Jess shares a series of photos of the twins as newborns. In the first, she lies in a hospital bed, holding the two sleeping babies in the crook of her arm. Then, she appears lying in bed at home, as the twins sleep peacefully next to her. As the song continues to play, the photos begin to jump back and forth in time, showing the twins as grinning toddlers, then later, as newborns sleeping in their mom’s arms again.
“Had no time to choose what I chose to do,” sings Adele. “So go easy on me.”
After several more photos play, Jess shares the final two photos, which were both taken at the same photo shoot. In the first, the two toddlers wear adorable matching pink dresses and hug each other. Then, in the last photo, Jess appears, giving the two toddlers a giant hug.
Many viewers could relate to Jess’ emotional video.
“I was 20 when I had my twins and this song hits so hard to my heart,” wrote one parent.
“Exactly what I thought the first time I listened to this song,” another TikToker commented.
“I had my first at 17, my second at 20. I love my girls. I relate so much,” shared another parent.
While being a young mom hasn’t always been easy for Jess, her video makes it clear her experience has been full of love.
