Yahoo Finance Mom shares hack for removing homemade slime stains from clothing
This parent’s clever hack for removing sticky slime stains from clothing is a slime time game changer.
Playing with homemade slime may be fun, but trying to wash it out of clothing is a whole other story. Luckily, TikToker and parent Myriam Sandler (@mothercould) shared a video featuring a simple hack for removing those tough, gooey slime stains, resulting in a mess that’s just as easy to clean as it is to make.
Sandler begins her demonstration at the beginning of the clip by covering the plain white t-shirt she’s wearing with blobs of sticky, taffy-like green slime.
Once the t-shirt is covered in a crusty layer of slime, Sandler stuffs it into a mixing bowl. Next, she pours warm water and white vinegar over the shirt, covering each stain.
Sandler lets the t-shirt soak for 15 minutes while the slime melts away, then rinses it off under cold water before giving it the usual wash and dry.

Finally, Sandler models the finished product, which shows no signs of slime and looks good as new.
Viewers enjoyed Sandler’s demonstration, and some took to the comments to offer additional tips.
“I want to confirm this works for Silly Putty as well! Thank you,” one user mentioned.
“What if I still want to keep the slime?” joked one TikToker.
“Bro went for it,” one viewer said, impressed by Sandler’s commitment to covering the white t-shirt with slime.
While many were impressed that Sandler could remove slime from a t-shirt, others weren’t so sure that the hack would work as well for hair.
“I’d prefer to put my hair up in case [I got] slime on it,” mentioned one concerned TikToker.
While there are probably other hacks that can remove slime stuck in hair, this one sure seems to work well for clothing.
