Yahoo Finance Mom secretly records teen babysitter who has the ‘voice of a Disney Princess’: ‘I got literal chills’
A TikTok mom might have just launched the singing career of her teenage babysitter — all because of her secret recording!
When mom Nicki (@nickiunplugged) recorded her babysitter singing Ariel’s “Part of Your World” song from “The Little Mermaid,” she likely had no idea the video would become a viral sensation!
But now, the beautiful footage has been viewed over 10M times — and all because of the incredible talent of its teenage star, Delaney (@delaneyreneemusic)!
As Nicki explains in her video — with on-screen text, so as to stay totally quiet while recording Delaney — she’s been encouraging the babysitter to “put her voice out there more.”
“But she gets discouraged about the way she looks in her videos,” Nicki explains. “All I see is beauty. So do my kids.”
As Delaney and Nicki’s daughter continues to play dolls, unaware of the video being captured, Delaney beautifully performs Ariel’s famous song, hitting all the notes and capturing the mermaid’s longing perfectly.
“Let’s show her some love so I can get her to sing for us more!!!” Nicki says in her on-screen text.
As Delaney finishes her song, Nicki reveals that she’s near tears in the hallway, blown away by the teen’s voice. “Her voice legit makes me cry!” she writes.

Nicki’s video was flooded with over 84k comments, all praising Delaney’s talent and beauty.
“Y’all hired your own Disney Princess!” one user wrote.
“Awww, the best part is that it is business as usual for them… She is not putting on a show… Just filling the air with joy,” another user commented.
“Omg, I thought it was the movie playing. She sounds so amazing,” wrote another user.
“You struck gold with that babysitter! Your daughter is so content too!” commented another user.

Many users praised Nicki, too, for encouraging Delaney to share her voice with the world. “She’s spectacular! You’re awesome for encouraging her!” one user wrote.
“Am I the only one who feels like she really connected to those lyrics?” asked one user. To this, Nicki replied, “It made me cry for more than a few reasons. Resonates SO MUCH!!! For so many of us.”
With such a beautiful voice and such a lovely spirit, it’s clear Delaney has a bright future ahead of her — perhaps as a Disney Princess of her own one day!
