Minerals Technologies (MTX) Q4 Earnings and Revenues Top Estimates

Minerals Technologies (MTX) came out with quarterly earnings of $1.08 per share, beating the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $0.95 per share. This compares to earnings of $0.95 per share a year ago. These figures are adjusted for non-recurring items.

This quarterly report represents an earnings surprise of 13.68%. A quarter ago, it was expected that this maker of mineral, mineral-based and synthetic mineral products would post earnings of $0.88 per share when it actually produced earnings of $0.92, delivering a surprise of 4.55%.
