Sweet potatoes are a dinnertime crowd pleaser all year round, but they really shine at the Thanksgiving table. And this butter pecan sweet potato mash is no exception! The sweet and savory dish gives you the best of both worlds and will be gobbled up by guests as soon as the buffet opens!
Ingredients
2 pounds sweet potatoes
1 tablespoon browned butter
2 tablespoons milk
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup chopped pecans

Directions
Using a fork, create holes on all sides of the sweet potatoes. Then, cook them in the microwave on high for 13 minutes, making sure to turn them halfway through. Once the sweet potatoes are cooked, set aside to cool.
After the sweet potatoes have cooled, cut them in half and scoop out the centers. Place the sweet potato scoops into a bowl and mash them.
Next, mix the mashed sweet potatoes with browned butter, milk, and salt until smooth.
Finally, place the mixture in a serving dish and top with chopped pecans.
