Meyers Leonard reportedly traded to Thunder a week after anti-Semitic remark

The Miami Heat are parting ways with Meyers Leonard. The team pulled off a trade with the Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday that sent Leonard to Oklahoma City in exchange for Trevor Ariza, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Leonard will reportedly approve the deal, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.

Leonard has been away from the Heat since he made an anti-Semitic remark on Twitch. The Heat released a statement saying Leonard would be away from the team indefinitely following the incident. Leonard's coaches and teammates condemned Leonard's language. Leonard released a statement saying he did not know the meaning of the word.

Meyers Leonard will not join Thunder

While the Thunder technically acquired Leonard, he won't play for the team.

In a statement, the Thunder said Leonard "will not be reporting to Oklahoma City and will not be an active member of the organization."
