Despite lockdown order’s in place, this Melbourne home had the highest sold price in Australia over the weekend as it went under the hammer.
The Kew mansion sold for $6.52 million despite starting with a $5.8-$6.2 million price guide.
Selling agents Jamie Mi and Sam Wilkinson from Kay & Burton set up an online auction for the four storey home to ensure everyone was in keeping with the state’s newest lockdown orders.
“A light-filled atrium entrance showcases designer interiors with a formal living and dining room with fireplaces. Floor-to-ceiling glass sliders open to an expansive terrace for indoor outdoor living and entertaining,” the agents said.
“A lavish marble and black granite open kitchen, equipped with two Miele ovens and Miele cooktop, overlooks the informal meals and living area with the fitted butler's pantry nearby.”
The home also comes with an expansive entertainment area on the ground level with a full bar with beer on tap.
Outside there is also a large deck with a barbeque overlooking a Japanese Zen garden.
There are as many bathrooms as there are bedrooms, with the main ensuite drenched in marble.
“The main suite boasts views over South Yarra, a fitted walk-in wardrobe and sublime resort style marble-finished ensuite with dual vanities, freestanding bath and shower,” the agents said.
“The second and third bedroom share a similarly well-equipped ensuite, while two more separately zoned bedrooms with walk-in wardrobes share an ensuite.”
For those stuck in lockdown never fear, on the upper level there is a large home office with a marble workstation and has 360 degree views across Kew to the city and South Yarra.
