McDonald’s customers on TikTok just discovered a 'game-changing' new menu hack: ‘This actually works?’

You won’t find a McDonald’s McFlurry cake on the chain’s menu.

You will, however, find the item on TikTok, where users have taken it upon themselves to transform the chain’s iconic dessert into something totally new.

Enter here for the chance to win a $250 DoorDash gift card.

The “McFlurry cake,” as it’s now called, comes amid a recent surge of viral fast food hacks. In the last few months, TikTokers have shared their tips for making McDonald’s McGriddles at home, ordering a Pokémon-themed Starbucks drink and saving money at Chick-fil-A.

Now, McDonald’s customers are buying McFlurryies, taking them home, and turning them into a “cake.” The recipe requires just two ingredients and apparently takes less than 5 minutes to make.

As TikToker Emily Canham put it, you “just have to add flour.”

In her now-viral video, Canham adds a bit of self-rising flour to her McFlurry, then combines the mixture in a bowl. She then transfers some of the “dough” back into her McFlurry container and microwaves it for around two minutes.

“It tastes so good,” she says in the clip.

Plenty of TikTokers have backed up Canhan’s claims, too. Other users, like @heyitsamess, have also tried — and loved — the recipe.

Of course, the McDonald’s McFlurry cake does beg the question: Is it safe to eat? In theory, you should never eat raw flour — although most recipes will tell you that a few minutes of microwaving is more than enough to make it safe.

TikTokers seemed both stunned and impressed by the trick.

“This actually works?” one user asked.

“Game changer,” another wrote.

“I need to try this,” another added.
